Y1 Chester Zoo

As part of our topic ‘Roaming in the Rainforest’, Year 1 has been contacted by Chester Zoo Rainforest Conservation Team to create a guide book on Amazon creatures suitable for children. I wonder how many creatures we can find! To help with their research we are organising a trip to Chester Zoo where we can see the creatures first hand and to interview Professor Mottershead, the conservation team leader. We also will be returning Rico, the sloth from the Amazon, to his new home at Chester Zoo.

We will be setting off from school at 9am and returning by the end of the day. Your child will need to bring a packed lunch in a disposable bag which should include a drink in a plastic bottle. Children will need to be dressed in school uniform and need to have suitable clothing eg, waterproof coat and/or sunhat and sun cream.
