'let their light shine'
Welcome to Year 6
I hope you have had a fantastic Christmas holiday.
Our regular scheduled PE days are still Wednesday and Thursday. However, this half term, we will also have a session with Cheshire Cricket on Friday. Please come to school dressed in PE kit on these days. We will be outside whenever possible, so please ensure you are dressed for the weather!
Connected Curriculum
In the first half of the spring term, we will take our inspiration from the book 'Shackleton's Journey' by William Gril which celebrates Ernest Shackleton’s departure on “Endurance” across the Antarctic. This book will bring us a detailed visual narrative of this extraordinary and historical expedition.
The topic web (which can be downloaded below) provides an overview of what we will be learning across the curriculum.
You will find all of the documents you need for completing your homework in the tab at the top of this page.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask.
Kind Regards,
Mrs Smith
Our Class Charter
As a rights respecting school, one of the first activities completed in September is our Class Charter. The children choose a number of articles which they feel must be met at school. It is then discussed how the adults (duty bearers) and the pupils (rights holders) in school ensure that these rights are met.
