Year 3 w/b 2/5/17
Date: 1st May 2017 @ 9:45pm
Good evening Year 3,
It was lovely to have an extended weekend. I have been for a lovely stroll around Delamere Forest followed by lunch in the FIshpool. I hope you have all had a lovely weekend.
This terms takeaway homework is now available to download from our class page and I have also attatched it to this blog. Sorry I couldn't give you a paper copy last week - the printer/photocopier was being fixed! Remember you added your own ideas to the menu so there should be something for everyone! I can not wait to see your creations.
In English we will be continuing with our work on report writing. We will be having a go at writing for this genre through modelled, guided and peer writing about sharks. Later in the week you will be planning your own report based on Big Blue Whales. Perhaps you could do some research in prepartion for your own report? Think about their habitat, apperance, diet and a wow fact.
In Maths we are continuing with Fractions. This week we will be identifying equivalent fractions. We will use fraction walls, fraction strips and of course cake to show this!! Would you rather have 2/4 of a cake or 1/2??
We will also be making our life size blue whale this week to add to our other sea creatures!
A date for your parents to put in the diary is Thursday 22nd June at 3.30 when I will hold a meeting re our Condover residential. I will give out a rough itineraries, kit list, Form C's and answer any questions you may have. If you are unable to attend please don't worry, you will all get a pack of information and we can still answer any queries you may have.
See you in the morning.
Miss Cork :)
