Year 3 w/b 19/10/15

Date: 19th Oct 2015 @ 9:18pm

Good evening Year 3!

Sorry for the lateness of this blog. I had a busy weekend back home in Liverpool visiting my family and friends. I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend too.

We are entering our last week of term. What a fabulous first half term it has been. You have all worked so hard and settle into Year 3 brilliantly. Well done. I will be recruiting for helping hands after half term.

In English we will be continuing with our work around which journey the boy decides to take. Will he listen to mum and go the long way? Or will he disobey her and go the short way through the forest....? This week you will be planning and drafting your letter of advice to the boy.

In Maths we will be looking at rounding to the nearest 100 and trying to write a rule. Mrs Parsons will be continuing with her work on time.

On Friday is the harvest service in church, we are linking our work on this with Courage and Strength. If you have been chosen to read a book in your refuge please bring your cushion/teddy/book/slippers into school by Friday. Please make sure you all invite your parents to church on Friday at 10am. Thank you.

Don't forget to do your spelling homework, go onto the mathletics website and carry on your research into British Forests. Mrs Parsons and I are looking forward to seeing your projects during the first week after half term.
