Year 3 w/b 15/5/17

Good evening Year 3,

I hope you have had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the gorgeous weather today! 

In English we will be completing the final draft of your Blue Whale reports. They are fantastic!!! I can not wait to display them in the classroom and around the school alongside your art work. Later in the week we will be going back to the Sea of Dreams text- what happens to the boy? What sea creatures did he meet? How does the story end?

In Maths we are going to be recapping calculation methods and particularly focussing on subtraction. In year 3 we use the expanded column method of subtraction and some of you will look at borrowing. 

On Sunday 21st May it is the PTA's fun run which is to be held on the Pavilion field at 12. I know it will be a great event and it will be lovely to see as many of you as possible as all money raised will be used for our very own running track.

Further diary dates: Wednesday 24th May Takewaway Homework, Thursday 25th May Sea of Dreams Exhibition 2-3pm/6-7pm, Thursday 22nd June 4pm Condover meeting and Friday 14th July Y3 class assembly 10am.
