Week Beginning 9th January 2017
Happy New Year to you all! I hope you all had a magical Christmas and you did lots of fun things with your friends and family. Thank you for all your lovely Christmas gifts and cards.
This week we are spending time on Global goals and Children's Rights as part of our school focus on becoming a Rights Respecting School. Together with Y2 we will be looking at Global Goal 6 Water and Sanitation and Children’s Rights Article 24. You can find out more about these from the links on Ms Charlesworth website.

Each day during assembly each class will have a slot to tell the rest of the school what they have found out and to show them some of the work they have produced.
Our English and Mathematics work will be based around Global Week activities.
Phonics and Spelling lessons continue as normal as does P.E
In phonics/spelling we will be beginning Set 2 and 3 sounds again
Our PE days are Monday pm and Wednesday am.
Reading Books
Reading books will be changed on a Monday and the children will begin to do it independently this term.
Homework
This half term we will focus on the common exception words (High frequency words). Please see the files on the class page for the list.
