Good evening all,

I was very proud of you all last week when we spent time looking at article 24 on the right to clean water. We worked with Year 2 to produce some beautiful artwork and performance poetry. Your comments were both thoughtful and insightful. I think we all came away feeling so very lucky and blessed with our lives  The work you produced is fantastic and will be kept in our class book.

In English we will begin our work on the text "Toys in Space". We will find lots of toys in the lost property. Where have they come from? Who do they belong to? This week i would like you to bring in a favourite toy (make sure it is named!) for our role play area and show and tell.

In maths we will having a NUMBER BOND WEEK! We will be learning our number bonds to 10 and 20 with lots of different activities.

Our RE this term is focuses is on 'The Kingdom of God'

On Tuesdays year 1 are going on an adventure around the world with Barnaby Bear and Mrs Dinnis from Love Music Trust. She will be with us for 6 weeks. There will be a concert in March in Hanley which you are invited to attend if you wish. I will let you know when tickets come on sale.
