Hello everyone

We hope you have been enjoying such a lovely sunny weekend.

Last week you did so well on our school visit to Burwardsley and there was so much to learn. Your follow up newspaper reports were excellent. We were also really proud of your efforts with the Macmillan Cake Sale. I don't know how much we have raised but big CONGRATULATIONS to all of you!

You are doing well with our work on measure and we will be continuing that on Thursday.Do you know approximately how many kms equal a mile? Well, if not, we will be finding out!

In English you will continue with your poetry with Mrs Harley and we will continue with looking at the graphic novel 'Ug' by Raymond Briggs.If you have any more of his books please bring them in for us to have a look at. The famous one, you may all know, is 'The Snowman'

For homework this week you will be given some SPAG  to do for Mrs Harley.It will link with work you have been doing in class. 'Mathletics' has been bought by the school and once it is up and running you will be able to work on this at home as extra Maths reinforcement. It is lots of fun! In the meantime focus on learning those tricky times tables. In Year 6 you should know all your times tables up to 12 x 12! As always we expect you to read EVERY night and shallbe checking up on this over the next few weeks!
