Y6 handball competition

Thankfully this tournament was held inside Tarporley's sports hall as we arrived like drowned rats running from the car in a downpour. Miss Hickson and I took 11 children from Y6 to play in a Handball competition with 8 other cluster primary schools. We were all placed into 2 competitions depending on the size of the school. We played against Tarporley, Kelsall, Delamere and Tarvin winning 3 matches and losing 4-3 to Tarporley. At the end of the competition Delamere, Tarporley and us had all won 3 matches and lost 1. Every game had been so exciting and close and every team member played brilliantly. In particular our girls were mentioned by a number of teachers and Gary Kelsall the Handball coach. On goal difference we came 3rd but we did beat the overall champions, Delamere. Woman of the match was Isla Kinnear and man of the match Joe Morley. Huge congratulations to you all, we are very proud of you.
