Y4 week beginning18.4.17

Date: 17th Apr 2017 @ 10:05am

Good morning everyone! We hope you have all had a lovely Easter break and are ready for the final term in Y4.

Miss Moores is returning to us and she is really looking forward to seeing you all this week. She will be teaching a unit of shape in maths, looking at different triangles and quadrilaterals, their names and properties. You will have chance to make some. You will soon know the difference between a scalene and an equilateral triangle and a rhombus and a parallelograms!

In English we will be writing our own underwater adventure using The Sea of Dreams as a stimulus. Tomorrow we will look at how to innovate the story and plan our own adventure. The week will continue with the Big Write before we use the editing stations to edit and correct our work just like an author.

Yesterday, was the day that Jesus was resurrected. Using two different accounts of the story from the bible one by Matthew and the other Luke we will look at the similarities and slight differences. Why do you think two people may write down differences of the same story?

It is the turn of Y3 and Y4 to compete at the High School in the X-Country event on Thursday. This is a chance for everyone to compete for their school and it would be lovely to see as many of you as possible. If anybody requires a lift please let me know and I will try to arrange this for you.

See you all bright and early tomorrow morning.

Love Mrs. W, Mrs. W and Miss. M
