Hi everyone

Mrs. Sissons spoke to me last night and said you had all written lovely spells for the Big Write using abstract and concrete nouns, well done. You will spend today's English lesson responding to the marking of it.

Next week Mr. Cole will be teaching English. You will be looking at how to write information of a non fiction subject, what needs to be on the page and the features of it. You will really enjoy this as Mr. Cole always makes his lessons so much fun.

We will be looking at decimal fractions, how to write, order and find the equivalent fraction. For example 0.1 = 1/10.

You will have time on Wednesday to complete your Maya building before we put them all together to make our city. Can you remember where all the buildings were placed and why?

Our Christmas craft will be made on Tuesday afternoon ready to be sold at the fair. We will make a calendar, a gift that will last a year, we will use a similar technique to the one we used for the front cover of our spell book and use different ways to say hello in different languages to decorate the front. We must also decide on a card that we would like to make for Mrs. Sissons to give to her on her last day. Have a think of some ideas, you know what she loves!

The Christmas fair is on Friday evening 5pm-7pm at school. There will be lots of exciting stalls and Father Christmas will be in the grotto. Hopefully we will see lots of you there.

Remember it is a non uniform day on Tuesday, you are allowed to come to school in your own clothes as long as you bring some chocolate or a bottle for the to bolts at our Christmas fair. Please be generous.
