Y4 week beginning 30.1.17

Good morning Y4

although very cold this morning, at least there is blue sky which always makes me feel better. You all worked very hard on finding fractions of amounts last week and we will spend a couple of lessons on problem solving before moving onto addition and subtraction of fractions.

I am on a course on Monday but Mrs. Chakira and Mrs. King will be running Y4. You will be editing and redrafting your poems. In RE you will be looking at the Parable "the Great Feast" thinking about the meaning of this story and what it is teaching us about The Kingdom of God.

in English we will read a little more of The Winters Child and looking at writing in paragraphs. We will do some shared writing before you will imitate and innovate your own. This will lead us to doing a Big Write next week.

it is getting very close to Young Voices, please keep practicing the songs and dances that can all be found if you google Young voices 2017.

we need to see evidence of your Takeaway homework this week and one of your choices has got to be a piece of writing as stated at the top of the sheet. If you have lost your paper copy you can read it on the Y4 class page (Takeaway 3 Spring term 1)
