Y4 week beginning 21.11.16

Hello everyone

Hopefully you are all enjoying your weekend.

Your behaviour and interest shown on the visit to Liverpool last week was superb and commented on by the staff at the Synagogue and museum. Well done.

We will complete our recount work on Monday and Tuesday before boxing up the story of Leon and the Place Between and rewriting it for the rest of the week. next week we will begin a unit of work on Non Chronological writing which will link with this weeks homework on animals.

Maths work will continue on factors and multiplying multiples of 10 before we look at formal written methods of multiplication using the grid method on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Miss Moores will be teaching topic this week where you will be researching Mayan buildings before building some to create a Mayan city next week.

My daughter is graduating on Wednesday so I have sent the lesson plans to Mrs. Badger who will be teaching your english and maths lesson. She is aware of your targets and how brilliant you are at both subjects so SHOW HER!!!

If Mrs. Charfield is feeling better she will teach as normal at the end of the week otherwise I will cover her so continuity is covered.

I hope you have all recovered after the CD recording on Friday, its now done and we will be able to pre order a disc or two very soon, I think they will cost around £10.

Good luck to the Y4 handball team on Thursday when they will play in a competition. I am very sorry if you were not selected but at least you have all had a handball session with Gary Kelsall the lead Handball coach.
