Y4 week beginning 18.7.16

Date: 17th Jul 2016 @ 5:17pm

Hello everybody

What a lovely day today after all the rain yesterday. I hope you have made the most of it.

Can you believe that this is the last full week of Y4, the year has flown and what a lot of lovely memories I have and I hope so do you.

We will spend this week finishing off all our topics, what will happen to Michael, will he be reunited with his parents? We will do a Desert Island Discs type lesson where you will be selecting 8 items you would choose to take to survive and 5 luxuries. You will need to be able to tell us why you have selected your items. Everybody may have different views on luxuries but I think the necessities will be similar.

Mr. Cole will be doing some problem solving challenges in maths which I know you love as well as completing his science and PE.

Diary winners will be announced on Friday when we will have a farewell party for Mr. Cole who will be leaving us. He starts his job in September with another Y4 class but I bet they won't be as good as you!

Brass will be on Thursday this week and you will be performing a concert to your parents. Please ensure you have your instrument in school on Thursday this week. This will be the last lesson with Mr. Birch this year but we hope a lot of you will carry on with lessons next year.

Dont forget to bring in your takeaway homework, we will be sharing this with KS2 on Friday.

Remember it is own clothes day on Friday but you need to bring in a "sporty item" for the tombola that will be used in the family BBQ that afternoon. This will be held at school from 3.15-5pm and hopefully most of you will be able to attend.

See you all tomorrow

Love Mrs. W and Mr. C
