Y4 week beginning 12.6.17

Hello Y4

It was a relief to be able to have sports day last Wednesday as finding a third date was proving to be quite difficult. You all ran well and the event was exciting to watch. Well done. Unfortunately the Y4 athletics had to be postponed due to the rain but Mr. Morphet from Tarporley High School is trying to find another date before the end of term. I will keep you posted.

Another extremely busy week. Miss Moores has planned a lovely English lesson for tomorrow, she is having her final observation before qualifying as a teacher and starting her career at Lower Peover Primary School in September. Rev Tim is coming in to baptise a doll we can ask him questions about the service and the part that Christians feel  the Holy Spirit plays in this event.

On Tuesday we will have a very early lunch before setting off to Manchester's Bridgewater Hall to play our brass instruments alongside the Halle orchestra. We need  all attending to bring in a packed lunch to eat in the classroom please. Those that are staying at school will remain with Y5 for the day once we have left.

I have selected some children to read their Sea of Dreams poetry at the Haberdashers assembly in church on Thursday. We will find time to practice this on Tuesday and Wednesday in school and you can have a copy for home.

we are in the middle of report writing and will do assessments in reading and maths on Wednesday. These are nothing to worry about.

On Wednesday afternoon, Miss Moores will do some landscape art. She is very excited about this, we know they will look fantastic.
