Y3/Y4 Hockey 5.5.16

It was really lovely to be standing in the sunshine, watching and cheering the Y3 and Y4 hockey teams at Deeside Hockey Club. The 12 teams competing were separated into 2 groups of 6 which enabled them to play 5 matches. It was quite obvious that both teams improved as the competition progressed. Y3 came joint 5th in their section and Y4 came 3rd. Huge thanks to all the parents that helped with transport and to Mr. Cole and Mrs. Moxley who accompanied and coached the teams.

PS One of our ex pupils who was introduced to hockey through this competition 10 years ago has just won his first cap for the England under 18 team. Congratulations must go to Matthew Steventon.
