Good evening Year 3!

I hope you all enjoyed the Chrstimas fair on Friday. I had great fun being Santa's helper and welcoming you into his grotto.

The classroom is looking beautiful with all your art work now displayed on the wall.

This week in Literacy we will be contining with our work on deforestation. We will be splitting into groups and taking on the role of farmers, loggers and animals of the rainforest. You will be looking at arguments for and against deforestation from these points of view. This will lead to writing a letter in our final big write of the term.

In maths we will be completing assessment 2. This is really important - it is an opportuntiy to celebrate all you have learnt this term as well as setting our targets.  We will then be exploring and solving problems using our brand new Numicon resources.

Rehearsals for the KS2 Christmas service held in church on the evening of Thursday 17th December (more details to follow) begin this week. Please continue to learn the Y3 part so we can practise as a class at school. If you have been given the part of a shepherd please bring a stripy or checkered tea towel into school (to be worn as a head dress). If you have been given the part of an angel please bring a piece of tinsel (to be worn as a headband) into school.

On Wednesday, it is our annual whole school event to the New Vic Theatre in Stoke. This is always a magical experience where we sit " in the round" with a buddy and the staff watching a performance. This year it is Robin Hood and Maid Marion. The actors are a bunch of very talented people and we watch drama, dance, the playing of instruments and singing. Please remember you are representing Bunbury School and your behaviour needs to be as exemplary as always.

Although we are close to finishing for Christmas, there is still a lot of work to be done.
