Y3 W/B 7/11/16 Welcome back!

Good evening Year 3,
I hope you all had a lovely half term and enjoyed bonfire night! I spent the week back home in Liverpool and enjoyed catching up with friends and family. What did you get up to?
As I have already said, last terms takeaway homework was absolutely fantastic! This terms takeaway homework is on the class page for you to download. I have also attatched it to this blog as some of you can't seem to find it on the class page! Have any of you chosen your next projects already?
On Friday 25th November we will be holding our Rock Quiz - 'Are you smarter than a 7 year old?' This is such fun and a chance to show of to your parents all we have learnt about rocks. Please arrive for 2.15pm and we will start the quiz at 2.30pm. I will be sending a letter out soon but spread the word and get the date in your diary. I look forward to seeing you there!
Anyway here is what is happening this week..
In English we will be continuing to look at diary writing. This week we will be looking at the thoughts of feelings of Barney after he fell into Stig's den. You will be doing some drama to help with your writing. All of you are very good at drama!
In Maths we will be moving onto subtraction and looking at the column method.
In the afternoons we will be starting our new Science topic on Light and Shadow and looking at the 3 parts of the Stone Age. Can you remember them from our trip?
