Y3 w/b 18.4.17

Good evening Year 3! 

I hope you have had a wonderful Easter break and are looking forward to our final term together!! 

This week in English we are going to be continuing with our work on Sea of Dreams. We will be thinking about the sea creatures the boy might meet. We will be focusing on one in particular and will be using verbs and adverbs to write a free verse poem. 

In Maths we will be going back to fractions. I would like to recap fractions of amounts before moving on to adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominators. I know fractions can be tricky so please go on mathletics and keep working on those times tables. This will really help you in lessons.

It is the turn of Y3 and Y4 to compete at the High School in the X-Country event on Thursday. This is a chance for everyone to compete for their school and it would be lovely to see as many of you as possible. If anybody requires a lift please let Mrs Waddington know and she will try to arrange this for you. 

I am hoping to hold our Medival Banquet in the second week back - I need to check diary dates. Please keep checking the blog/twitter/emails for a confirmed date. How are your outfits coming along?
