Winter Wonderland

We can't wait to transform the classroom into a Winter Wonderland next week.  The children will spend time in our Santa's Workshop role play area, make snowmen out of playdough, create snowflakes out of anything that sparkles and design their own winter scenes on the lightbox.  We will be developing our scissor skills by cutting out our own unique snowflakes- look out for them on the classroom windows!

We will draw and label maps for our special penguin Pipkin, and hear all about the snowy adventures of Dougless the Bear in the story Merry Christmas Hugless Dougless.

In our number work we will follow Pipkin the penguin on his search to discover how big a million is, using the book How Big is a Million?
