week beginning 5 3 18

The children came back into school rested and ready. Although it was a short week we did lots of things. On Tuesday we wrote about our half term and of course had phonics and number. In number we are concentrating on more and less than.

On Wednesday we had Stay and Play. I love Stay and Play as the children love working with different adults and showing off their class to them. It was really calm with a lovely atmosphere. On Thursday we had World Book Day. It was such fun. The children had to write the labels for their books ready for the swap and we paraded in the hall. On Friday we had an athlete come into school to talk about her training and she did some circuits with them. They loved it.

I am hoping for a quieter week . We will of course be doing number (more then /less than) but we will also be thinking about hot air ballooons linked to Arctic Explorer. We will making a hot air ballooon, drawing it and writing about it.

We will also be making story maps and on Friday doing a Big Write.
