Y3 Week beginning 22.2.16

Date: 21st Feb 2016 @ 7:34pm

Hello everyone,

I really hope you have all had a wonderful and relaxing half term. I have spent the week practicing my driving skills ready for my test. Even Mrs Lander braved a drive to Crewe with me! What have you been up to?

In English we are going to be looking at information texts. We will start by looking at the features and using subheadings to organize information. Eventually you will be writing your own information text about a dragon. Have you seen the news? I don't think we captured them all last term. Either that or they have escaped from the enclosures we made...!

Maths will see a recap on finding fractions of amounts and multiplying by 10 and 100. I hope you have been practicing this on Matheletics over the half term.

This term our topic work gets very exciting!! We will be planning and going on a visit to Beeston Castle (date to be confirmed soon!).  We will be completing our castle models and Beeston at Dusk paintings. In addition to this we will be continuing to plan a feast. We will be looking at food, dress and entertainment. You will also receive some news about the jobs you applied for in due course...

I am very much looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow. It is certainly getting lighter which makes it easier to get up in the morning!!

Love Miss Cork :) x

P.S you will receive this terms take away homework menu tomorrow. I am already looking forward to seeing what wonderful things enter our classroom this time!!
