Y3 Week beginning 18/9/16

Date: 18th Sep 2016 @ 8:43pm

Good evening Year 3,

Sorry for the lateness of this blog - it has been a busy weekend!

It was lovely to see some of you at the Bubble Run this afternoon. Have a look at the the photographs on the school Twitter page. Monday's VIP will be Annabel for her fantastic reasoning in maths. I have added even more privalliages to being a VIP... you will find out tomorrow!!

In Maths we will be continuing to look at place value and thinking about the value of each digit. You worked really hard last week to explain your understanding. This week you will be faced with some challenges!

In English we will be continuing with our work on 'Cave Baby' by Julia Donaldson. We will be focusing on making our sentences more exciting by adding noun phrases and prepositions. This will lead to you writing a setting a description.

We will be continuing with our Science topic and looking at the rock cycle. This involves a very exciting (and edible) experiment. We also have a rock expert (Fraser's Grandad!) coming to visit us on Friday. Comment below with a question you would like to ask him!

On Thursday (22nd September) will be the family, sibling and individual photographs. There will be more information to follow but please ensure you look smart.

See you in the morning,

Miss Cork

Dear Miss Cork
Please can you let me know what the chocolate experiment was today as Edward was disappointed that he had missed some of it as he had a music lesson, so I said we would do it over the weekend.Thank you.
