Week 3

What wonderful weather we have had this week! We have been taking advantage of the weather by doing maths in our woodland area. The children have been exploring the numbers 1,2 and 3.

We have started looking into Christianity and the concept of Good News in RE. The children told the class any good news they had. After this, we went outside to see good news in our school environment. "The pond is good news as it is a home to lots of different creatures"

Through our topic we have been reading Handa's surprise which the children have thoroughly enjoyed. The children have made a fruit salad and chopped the fruit themselves, painted some of the fruit Handa had in her basket and retold the story in our Massai Hut. 

Next week we are going on safari! What will be need to bring with us?
