Y3 W/B 24/10/16

Date: 23rd Oct 2016 @ 9:00pm

Good evening Y3,

What a fantastic trip on Thursday! We had great fun looking at Stone Age artefacts, eating bugs, carving tools and cave painting. I think the composes toilets were a highlight for you all!! We even met a Wolly Mammoth. Thank you to Mrs Williams and Mrs Waring for giving up their time to help us. I have added some picutres of our trip to the blog - please show your family!! Enjoy!

In English we will be contining to read Stig of the Dump. We will be looking at using conjunctions to extend our sentences and writing a character description of Stig so far. In Maths we will be finishing our work on addition. We will go over carrying and complete some missing number problems. Later in the week we will be looking at written methods for subtraction.

We have a lot of jobs to complete this week before we finish for half term. I would like you to complete your pop up books, fossil chatterboxes and your topic front covers. We will also be planning our Rock Quiz this week. What questions will challenge your parents the most?

Don't forget that your Takeaway Homework needs to be in school on Wednesday so it can be shared with the rest of the school.  I am looking forward to seeing your hardwork and displaying it in our classroom!

See you in the morning

Miss Cork
