Reception week beginning 27 9 15

Sorry! I forgot to write our blog. I think its my age!

We have started the week still trying to put classroom rules into place. The children are much more organised, they are now working in groups and sometimes staying on activities independently. We normally have a free flow system to the outside classroom, but until the children understand the rules we are all either in or out. It tends to be the afternoons when we are outside. If the children are in the water or sand they are supposed to put on full waterproofs. It is amazing how many of them are not keen to do this and prefer to be wet!

We are moving onto the Three Bears the children love roleplay especially if we are playing with them. We will be acting out the Three Bears in class tomorrow. All the activities in the classroom are linked to either the Three Pigs or the Three Bears.

Mrs Lawford will be going to the vegetable garden to pick runner beans,  talk about length and incorporate harvest. That is the beauty of the early years curriculum.
