Reception News week beginning 5 1 16

Welcome back to the Spring Term and a Happy New Year.

Thankyou so much for the gifts that we received at the end of term. It was very kind of everyone. 

We are going to have a very exciting week. The whole school will be thinking about the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Each class will be looking at a different right. In Reception we are looking at Right 31. "All children shall have time tp play and time to rest when we are tired." We will be thinking about play and doing some art work. Unicef have produced some lovely books linked with this. We are also fortunate that David Beckham has given Unicef another boost with his programme over Christmas where he played football on seven continents in a very short space of time. 

We want our school children to think about children in other parts of the world. 

We are also starting Pirates focussing at the beginning of term on the book  "Night Pirates." 

I don't want to say too much about this at the start, but would be grateful for any feedback on our blog.

I am really looking forward to the term
