Reception news week beginning 25 9 16

Reception are doing so well. They coped with school dinners, assemblies and a school photograph. They had to pose for their photos. There are some really lovely pictures that you will have the chance to buy later in the term. The lovely weather has been a real bonus and the children have really enjoyed the outdoor area and have been very creative with their building. We have made a den and the boys have discovered the large wooden blocks which they are having a lovely time with. The mud kitchen has been put to good use as well! Everyone is beginning to understand the rules it is amazing how quickly they pick them up. They have been well trained at nursery and playgroup.

I love this time of year the children are really interested in all the different seeds. We are also looking at woodland animals. We have a woodland house in the roleplay area and woodland animals on the small roleplay area. We also have dinosaurs out at some of the boys love them. The girls are very creative and make up all sorts of stories dressing up. 

This week the children will be telling stories with woodland animals and playing with numicon as well as all the other activities and of course going for walks in our school woods looking for signs of Autumn.
