Reception News week beginning 2 10 17

As ever the children have been so busy and we have arrived in Africa. The children flew there with Miss Brown on Friday. They really enjoyed it. Miss Porter is really going to South Africa and she had mislaid her bag at school. Thankfully Reception found it and she showed them her South African flag and explained the meaning of the colours. She has very kindly given it to us until she goes. 

If anyone has anything from Cape Town or South Africa we would love to see it. This week we are working on the book Handa's Hen and we will be focussing on counting, ordering numbers and writing lists as well as retelling the story. At present we are focussing on fine motor skills as it is important that the children hold a pen properly. Here's to another great week. We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday night at 7.00pm.
