Reception News week beginning 18 1 16

What a great week. Pirates is working really well. We are getting lots of writing and I have lots of exciting ideas for this week. Peter and Polly Parrot have been coming home. Please do not feel that you have to put photos in especially on a week night. If the children just draw a picture and mark make if they want to ( it would be lovely if they could!) and then parents write in even if it is, "Peter watched me brush my teeth!"

We found a message in a bottle. It said" To whoever finds this..." It was a message from Captain Barbarosa he has lost his ship again. He lost it last year. He regularly vists the boat museum in Ellesmere Port. He is there having lost his ship and his crew and wondered if we could help.......... He seems to be very forgetful as he has lost it before

They love Peter Pan and Wendy as well. I am very lucky and am going to Stratford to see Peter Pan performed by the RSC in two weeks. They created Matilda which is now on in London. I am hoping for some great ideas.(Not flying though!)

In number we are focussing on counting on, capacity and size. We have some beautiful new blocks for the outside  area which the children love. There is a lot of building going on inside and outside. The classroom is very busy.
