Reception blog week beginning 9 5 16

What a lovely weekend. Suddenly the garden has come to life and we were able to sit out in the sunshine to have our tea. As I am writing this it is dusk, the birds are singing and it is absolutely still. 

This week we are still thinking about doubles and will be sorting domino doubles and making our own.

We didn't manage to do everything last week and so some of the planning is being carried forward. The children loved making a castle in a group. I am sorry that some of the children were covered in paint. We will continue to make castles this week.

The story of Jack and the Beanstalk is continuing. The children are going to roleplay the story ready for writing. We are also going to find a boot ( I wonder whose it is?)

On Thursday we have our football match at the High School which we are looking forward to.
