Reception blog week beginning 25 4 16

We has such a lovely time on Friday at our street party. I hope people have looked at the photographs on the blog. We were blessed with the weather. The children will hopefully remember this type of event when they are older. I can remember very little from my primary school days, but I do remember significant events.

On Monday we are going to write about the street party. Everyone was there and I will be able to show them the photos. Hopefully there will be some good work as they are writing about their experiences. We will be focussing on writing a readable sentence and those who are ready finger spaces and full stops. We are encouraging independent writing wherever possible.

We will be making swords and shields in the creative area and planting runner beans to link with Jack and the Beanstalk. 

The children are really enjoying the roleplay area and playing surprisingly well with shields!
