Reception blog week beginning 22 2 16

Welcome back everyone.

This is the third time I have tried to put our news on the blog! On Sunday night it disappeared twice.

The children have come back really ready for learning. We have all written about our holidays and have played in the new pirate shop. We are having a real focus on money. We are linking numicon with money it really helps their understanding. Money is a difficult concept, but is great for counting in twos, fives and tens. We have started counting with 1p coins.

There are some challenges in the classroom. The children have been asked to make the cars move without pushing them. There is also something interesting in the water tray!

As ever we are concentrating on reading, don't forget about the online Matheletics.
