reception blog week beginning 21 5 17

Date: 20th May 2017 @ 11:44am

I am so proud of Reception. We had such a lovely Pirate Party on Wednesday. It was really busy for the children making the cakes and biscuits and decorating them.  The actual party was such fun, they were so up for it and then of course serving the parents was such a treat. Henry's idea of a party game for the parents was inspired.  We made the cakes by balancing eggs against all the other ingredients. I would really recommend this there is so much language and maths involved.

Those children who attended football did really well. As always it was very exciting.

After half term we are going to look at castles, knights, princesses and minibeasts. The castles idea has come from the children. I am going to take them to Cholmondeley as there is such a lot we can do there. We will also be visiting Bunbury Church and having a picnic. Let's hope for dry weather.

This week we are reading, going on a treasure hunt, writing our own idea of "We are going on a treasure hunt" rather than "Bear Hunt." In number we  are continuing with doubles and sharing.

Please come to our exhibition on Thursday the children will love showing you around.
