Reception blog week beginning 16 5 16

What a lovely weekend. I went to see Hamlet at Stratford on Saturday. It was the most amazing production. This afternoon I took the dogs to Cholmondlely castle for a quick walk. It really is the most beautiful place. My creative soul has been fed this weekend! 

We are going to be very creative this week focussing on art linked to Pentecost and the Church's birthday. Consequently we are making party hats and cakes and doing some writing linked to the topic. We will also be working on a dance with lots of ribbons. In number we will be working on sharing, doubles, counting in twos , fives and tens and subtraction. I am sorry that I forgot to send out the children's spellings it went straight out of my head. We are really busy with reading and phonics as well and there doesn't seem any time in the day!!

The children who played football did really well they behaved beautifully and worked really hard. I was very proud of them.
