Reception blog week beginning 13 6 16

Welcome back everyone.

I hope you all had a lovely holiday, the weather was glorious. We have used the barbeque already I don't think we used it last summer! We have an action packed half term please look on our calendar for dates. We start with the Haberdasher's visit on Wednesday at church at 10.00. Everyone is welcome to attend. The week after is sport's day a highlight on the infant calendar.

This half term we are looking at explorers. The children had been looking at things outside at the end of term. We talked about what they would like to do. Explorers lends itself to so many things. We can look at the jungle, minibeast hunts( which they love) and Africa and find creatures that we didn't know existed! Then of course we can go camping and make dens in our school woods. In the classroom we are going to have a rainforest cafe which will mean we can use lots of money. We are going to have a visit to Cholmondeley Castle to explore and find all sorts of things. As well as this we will be walking to St Boniface Church and then back to the playing fields for a picnic. This half term is far too short.......
