Rec week beginning 25 6 17

Thankyou so much to all those parents/ grandparents who came to our assembly on Friday. For me it is the highlight of the year as it shows how much the children have grown up. They spoke out and sat beautifully. Well done Reception.

This week we are focussing on number and measure still looking at Jim and the Beanstalk. We are measuring feet and hands and how tall we are. We are also going to see how tall our runner beans are. We will pose the question: How can we measure them? A little bit of problem solving!

We planted some of our vegetables in the vegetable plot and we are going to plant some in a grow bag in our outside garden. We will see what happens. We are also going to make a huge beanstalk and put photographs on of the children climbing up it.

We will be making story maps and sequencing the growth of a bean . Another very busy week.
