Rec week beginning 12 10 15
Date: 11th Oct 2015 @ 9:29pm
I went to York on Saturday night to hear my son's marriage banns read. The Sunday was a beautiful day. We sat in a lovely church with the sun shining through the stained glass windows. The address was given by a retired vicar. The talk focussed on harvest and the importance of plants in the world. She really made me think! So whenever reception are outside we will be looking at plants, their leaves, their flowers etc and why they are so important.
This week we will be making porridge and talking about oats. We will be weighing the oats and writing about making the porridge.
Every week we plan too much and so it carries over. We will be printing with fruit, making bears out of card and making bear patterns. we will also be playing an outdoor game where the wolf tries to catch Goldilocks (our own version of the story!)
Numicon as ever will feature in the week. I will show Numicon to parents at our evening.
Looking forward to seeing you.
