Year 6 Crucial Crew Child Safety Event – Friday, 9th June 2023
We are delighted to be taking the children to the Crucial Crew Child Safety Event, held in Northwich, as part of our PSHE and our transition to high school work. Crucial Crew is a multi-agency safety event aimed at Year 6 children (10 to 11 year olds) designed to provide children with life skills that will enable them to keep themselves and others safe. It is generally accepted that children start to become more independent at this age and are often expected to cope increasingly on their own and deal with changes in their lives, such as a move to secondary school. The aim of the Crucial Crew event is to raise each participant's awareness of threats and dangers, in a fun and interactive way. Representatives from the Emergency Services and local agencies will be delivering a diverse range of scenarios.
We will be leaving school following registration and we will be back at lunch time. Therefore, children can have a hot dinner or a packed lunch as usual.
The children will need to come to school in their school uniform with a snack and water bottle. The cost will be will be £13.20. Please consent and make payment online at SchoolMoney by Monday 5th June. Should you require financial assistance towards the cost of the trip, please speak in confidence with myself or Mrs Badger.
Thank you for your continued support,
