Year 2

Monday 30th March,

Dear Y2, Parents and Carers,
I hope your first week of home learning went well. This morning I have been looking at some of the activities you have been completing online. I have been learning how to use Purple Mash to mark and comment on your work. I can also see lots of you have been busy on TT Rockstars too. I have added some new activities to Purple Mash, fractions and grammar games.

Have a go at some of the Easter craft activities I've posted below.

I know that some of you are writing letters to each other which is a brilliant idea. We  haven't been able to see my Nan so all our family are writing letters to her too. We are counting down the days until the 8th when she is 100.

Keep posting your pictures on the Facebook page and @bunburyace on Twitter.

Keep Safe,
Ms Charlesworth xx

Purple Mash
Work on Purple Mash will be assigned in the '2Do' tab.

I have assigned Multiplication, Division and Fractions to start with.

Continue to use Times Tables Rock Stars. This is set to the times tables you are currently working on. If we are off school for an extended time I will move you in different groups to learn new facts.

Daily reading is one of the most important things you can do to continue your learning at home. The following website contains a selection of free eBooks, audiobooks and games. Use the user name and password that was sent to you.
Write down all the books you read from here or elsewhere in your reading record book.

Let's keep our fitness up whilst we have time at home. Click on the link, watch the interactive home work out videos and give it a go. No equipment needed, so no excuses! Lets have have fun and keep fit! Test yourself if you can and try to combine more than one exercise video. Try as many as you want throughout the day or even create your own?

PE passport, a tool the school uses to plan our PE curriculum has created online content to provide fun and engaging challenges to be attempted at home and as families. They have added Dance, Yoga, Hand/Eye Coordination skills and personal challenges. The content of this will be updated daily over the coming weeks and I hope the resources available will help you stay active during the closure. The website also provides external links to other websites that might prove useful to parents and carers whilst at home. Please click on the link below to access this content.

Stay safe, stay fit and stay active! Many thanks, Mr Dooley
