Hello everyone!

We hope you have had a good weekend. Hopefully you have had a good go at your 'Takeaway homework' which we are really looking forward to seeing on Weds 9th December.

This week, in English, you will be working on your information writing with Mrs Harley and your persuasive and discussion writing with me. We are very pleased with how you have been reading on a more regular basis and this will have a positive effect on your writing...so keep it up!

In Maths you approached 'Rally coach' with increasing confidence and helped each other in finding missing angles within 2D shapes. This week we have also looked at short division. We have divided 4 digit numbers by 1 (and some of us 2) digit numbers. We have then expressed any remainders as fractions. It's a bit tricky to show you any example. Sorry.With our Mathletics, the work on area and perimeter needs to be completed by Monday. Don't forget that this is the maths homework so everyone needs to do it! Remember that you can do this in the classroom on Tues or Thurs lunch if you have problems getting the use of a computer at home.

This week you have a non-uniform day on Tuesday and you need to bring in either a bottle for the Tombola or chocolate for the Chocolate stall. Let's hope everyone can do this as it will really boost our Christmas fair which is on Friday after school. I know that Mrs Harley and MrsBlack have spoken to you about your stalls and you will spend Friday afternoon preparing for these. Don't forget that if you are in the choir you will be singing outside to welcome all the visitors so come wrapped up warmly and with a torch so that you can see what you are doing!
