Y4 week beginning 17.10.16

Date: 15th Oct 2016 @ 10:57am

Hi Y4

We hope you are all enjoying this weekend although the weather is not brilliant, it might be a good chance to work on your takeaway homework as this needs to be completed and ready to share on Wednesday 26th October. Remember we are expecting great presentation of everything that you bring in.

Well done to everyone that attended X-Country on Thursday, you made us both very proud with your determination and perserverance. We think Y4 will have the highest percentage of attendees but we will check this next week.

Our art day was a huge success you worked very well in pairs or on your own independently and as the masks took a little longer to dry we will assemble them this week ready for display. We think they will look great. We all now know what Mayans felt were attractive features and you have incorporated these into your masks.

Next week is assessment week and this is nothing for you to worry about. We just need to see what progress you have made in the last 6 weeks and what your new targets will be. We will do a maths assessment and a Big Write which will help to show us what you have learned.

In Maths we will continue with subtraction looking at different written methods before looking at inverse.

Leon has just gone in the box, would you have made that choice? What does he find in the Place Between, wait and see.

Don't forget your swimming stuff on Tuesday and brass instruments on Friday. We look forward to seeing you all next week.
