Y3 Week Beginning 5.10.15

Good evening Year 3. I hope you have all had a lovely weekend. I hope so pleased to see the sun is hanging on for a few more days! Thank you to those of you who have left a comment on the poetry blog - I am glad the videos have worked for most of you.

Tomorrow is our trip to Bickley Hall Farm. We will be leaving school at 12.15pm after having an early lunch. Please come to school dressed in your clothes (tracksuit bottoms, leggings, waterproof coat and walking boots/trainers). I would advice checking the weather in the morning - if rain is forecast then bring wellies to school with you. We will return to school around 3pm. Thank you.

This week in maths we will continue solving the tricky problems from last week. These problems needed great perserverance and it was lovely to see you really challenged! Mrs Parsons will be continuing with her shape work on Thursday and Friday. 

Literacy will see us writing recounts about our school trip. I have marked your big writes - they are all marvellous well done! We have some green for growth work on sentence openers to do on Thursday and Friday. 

It is the first KS2 X-country on Thursday at Tarprley High School between 4pm-5pm. The races always begin with Y3 girls then Y3 boys etc. We have a mini competition in school to see which class has the highest percentage of competitors. It would be lovely to lots of Y3 runners. This will be the first chance to represent Bunbury as a junior!
