Good evening!

Mrs Parsons and I have had a lovely 2 days with our new class. Children's behaviour has been fantastic and I have enjoyed getting to know each and every one of them. The children have spent 2 days looking at 'Courage and Strength,' We have used the story of Daniel and the Lions as a stimulus and various quotes from the bible. We have engaged in lots of interesting discussions and produced some stunning artwork (photographs to come soon). Well done!

Next week English will see some performance poetry. We will be focusing on poems written by Roger McGough.

Maths will involve children using multiples of 5 and 10 to solve addition and subtraction problems. Mrs Parsons will be revisiting time on an anologue clock.

Your homework over the weekend is to photograph yourself reading your favourite book. This photograph could be taken in the refuges (your safe places at home)  we have been talking about in RE. Please bring this photograph into school next week. It will form part of our display in the reading corner. Remember there is 5 team points and 2 stickers in it for you! I look forward to seeing what your favourite books are!

Our Meet The Teachers meeting is on Monday14th September, time to be confirmed where hopefully we will be able to tell you a little bit about ourselves and how we teach. We will give you a general overview of the terms work and trips that have been organised.
